Software Engineer

Company Description Connected Neurosciences develops innovative software solutions for the Parkinson's wellness community. Its flagship product, Parkinson's LifeKit, is actively used by thousands of People with Parkinson's (PWP) to improve their daily lives. The company was founded by Nick Pernisco, who is himself living with Parkinson's and is dedicated to empowering others with the condition. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will work on developing, testing, and maintaining innovative software solutions, with a focus on back-end web development and software performance. Responsibilities include writing efficient code, implementing object-oriented programming principles, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software tailored to the needs of the Parkinson's community. Qualifications Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Knowledge of Back-End Web Development and Software Development methodologies Strong understanding of foundational Computer Science concepts Problem-solving and analytical skills to address software issues Ability to work independently and in remote team settings Experience or interest in healthcare-related technology is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
