About The Role Whova is seeking a dedicated Software QA Engineer to join our remote team based in Illinois. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our event management software and mobile applications. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation systems, developing software tools, and establishing robust test infrastructure to facilitate feature verification and regression testing. You will work closely with product teams to define clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring that all aspects of the product—from functionality to user experience—meet high standards of quality. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving software issues, collaborating effectively across teams, and continuously improving testing methodologies to support our fast-paced development cycle. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of our innovative solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field Proven experience in software quality assurance, including test case design, manual and automated testing, and regression testing Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) best practices, coding standards, and source control management Experience with mobile and web automation tools and frameworks Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional environment Proactive attitude with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and testing strategies Responsibilities Help product owners define clear, understandable, and testable user stories and acceptance criteria Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies aligned with product requirements Execute manual and automated tests, including regression suites, to ensure software quality Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and infrastructure to support continuous integration and delivery Investigate and analyze product issues, providing actionable insights for improvements Collaborate with the product development team to ensure consistent project execution and quality standards Stay updated on emerging testing tools, software technologies, and best practices to optimize testing processes Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, reliable software solutions Benefits Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, based on experience 401(k) retirement plan Paid sick leave and vacation days Opportunities for career growth within a fast-expanding company Engaging and collaborative company culture that promotes innovation and teamwork Two company-provided lunches weekly and Bagel Wednesdays to foster team bonding Work-from-home flexibility and a supportive remote work environment Equal Opportunity Whova is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
