Lead Software Engineer - Robotics and Automation
Location: Hartford, Connecticut,
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Work Mode: Onsite (No Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join a high-performing software development team. This role is designed as an individual contributor position with a clear growth path into a Software Development Manager role within approximately 5 years.
work closely with a team of 15 engineers, contributing to the development of advanced software systems that control robotics and automated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software for robotics and automated machinery
Build and optimize object-oriented applications using Java or similar technologies
Develop control systems for robotics, automation, or complex equipment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a highly interactive environment
Participate in system architecture, design, and code reviews
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in automation technologies
Required Skills & Experience
Strong programming skills in Java or other object-oriented languages (Python, C++, C#)
Hands-on experience in robotics, automation, or machinery control systems
Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles
Experience developing software for equipment/device control systems
Requirment
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, IT, or related field
5+ years of relevant experience (up to 30 years considered)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
