Our platform is built by industry leaders with a long history in programmatic advertising, digital media, and ad verification who have now purpose-built a CTV performance platform advertisers can trust to grow their business.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>tvScientific is looking for a Sr. SDET for its Web Platform with strong expertise in web and API testing. This role requires a balance of manual testing excellence and automation skills, with a focus on validating end-to-end user flows across frontend, backend services, and APIs.</p> <p>You will partner closely with frontend engineers, backend engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure our web platform and APIs are reliable, secure, and performant.</p> <p><strong><br>What you'll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own and drive&nbsp;quality&nbsp;for web platform features, spanning UI, APIs, and backend services</li> <li>Design and execute&nbsp;manual test cases&nbsp;and&nbsp;exploratory testing&nbsp;for complex web and API workflows</li> <li>Conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.</li> <li>Build and maintain&nbsp;automated test suites&nbsp;for:</li> <li>Validate&nbsp;frontend–backend integration, data consistency, and error handling</li> <li>Perform&nbsp;API contract testing, schema validation, and negative/edge-case testing</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers during&nbsp;design, implementation, and code reviews&nbsp;to improve testability and catch issues early</li> <li>Integrate automated tests into&nbsp;CI/CD pipelines&nbsp;to provide fast, reliable feedback</li> <li>Analyze test failures, investigate root causes, and drive issues to resolution</li> <li>Advocate for quality best practices, including&nbsp;shift-left testing, risk-based testing, and automation strategy</li> <li>Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools like Jira.&nbsp;<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>What we're looking for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in QA / Quality Engineering, with a strong focus on&nbsp;web platforms and APIs</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related field or equivalent experience</li> <li>Proven hands-on experience with manual testing of complex, consumer-facing web applications</li> <li>Strong experience building and maintaining&nbsp;API tests&nbsp;using tools such as Postman, REST-assured, Supertest, or similar</li> <li>Hands-on experience with&nbsp;web automation frameworks&nbsp;(Playwright, Cypress)</li> <li>Solid understanding of&nbsp;HTTP, REST and API design principles</li> <li>Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (JavaScript, TypeScript)</li> <li>Experience working in&nbsp;Agile/Scrum&nbsp;environments</li> <li>Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills</li> <li>Strategic partnership with stakeholders /&nbsp;Cross-functional collaboration that is high-trust and high-velocity</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in your day-to-day workflow for relevant outputs</li> <li>Strong track record of critical evaluation and verification of AI-assisted work (e.g., testing, source-checking, data validation, peer review)</li> <li>High integrity and ownership: you protect sensitive data, avoid over-reliance on AI, and remain accountable for final decisions and deliverables</li> <li><strong>Nice-to-Haves:</strong> <ul> <li>Experience testing&nbsp;large-scale, high-traffic web platforms</li> <li>Familiarity with&nbsp;React or modern frontend frameworks</li> <li>Experience with&nbsp;performance, load, or reliability testing&nbsp;for APIs and web applications</li> <li>Exposure to feature flags, experimentation platforms, or observability tools</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>In-Office Requirement Statement:</strong></p> <ul> <li>We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments.
