Description
For our client, we are seeking a Principal AI Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 annually
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design AI solutions for clients
Develop LLM applications and agentic workflows using Python
Work with structured and unstructured clinical trial data
Create multi-agent workflows and intelligent process automation solutions
Maintain and evaluate AI systems using modern metrics
Drive AI project workflows and enhance software platform user experience
Educate team members on AI best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred
Strong hands-on experience building LLM applications in healthcare
Deep understanding of modern Deep Learning and Machine Learning techniques
Extensive experience with clinical trials data
Proficient in Python and AI frameworks, with API and cloud platform familiarity
