About the Opportunity The Software Engineer, Platform is responsible for developing and maintaining backend services that support key functionalities such as payments, analytics, subscriptions, and text-to-speech features. This role is critical for ensuring scalable, high-performance APIs that enhance user experience and support enterprise client solutions. The position contributes to the organization by shaping backend architecture aligned with product strategy and enabling seamless integrations. Responsibilities API Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance public and internal APIs, including text-to-speech (TTS), Payment, Subscription, Auth, and Consumption Tracking services. Infrastructure Optimization: Manage and optimize backend API infrastructure to ensure long-term performance, scalability, and maintainability. Enterprise Solutions: Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on technical customization and seamless platform integration for enterprise clients. Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with cross-functional teams to align core backend systems with overall product goals and business strategy. Requirements Backend Expertise: Proven professional experience in backend development using TypeScript and Node.js. Cloud Infrastructure: Direct, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other major cloud providers. Task Prioritization: Proven ability to evaluate and prioritize engineering tasks efficiently based on direct business impact. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Docker and containerized deployment workflows. Proficiency in deploying and managing high-availability applications on Kubernetes. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Base Salary Range: $140,000 to $200,000 USD per year (United States based salary range). Final placement within the range depends on depth of experience.
