About the Opportunity The Software Engineer, Platform is responsible for developing and maintaining backend services that support key business functions such as payments, analytics, subscriptions, and text-to-speech functionalities. This role plays a crucial part in delivering scalable and high-quality APIs that enhance user experience and support enterprise client integrations. The position requires strategic thinking, rapid execution, and cross-functional collaboration to align backend architecture with product goals. Responsibilities API Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain robust public and internal APIs including text-to-speech, payment, subscription, authentication, and consumption tracking services. Infrastructure Optimization: Manage and optimize the backend API landscape to guarantee long-term performance, responsiveness, and horizontal scalability. B2B Integration: Collaborate on custom B2B solutions tailored specifically to enterprise client needs and system architectures. Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture effectively supports the overall product strategy and end-user experience. Requirements Backend Expertise: Proven backend development experience utilizing TypeScript and Node.js. Cloud Environments: Direct engineering experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); baseline knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other major cloud providers is expected. Execution & Prioritization: Proven ability to prioritize complex technical tasks effectively based on real-time urgency and business impact. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Docker and managing containerized deployments. Proficiency in deploying and maintaining high-availability applications on Kubernetes. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Base Salary Range: $140,000 to $200,000 USD per year (for United States-based applicants). Final compensation is determined based on depth of experience and skills. Incentives & Equity: Eligible for additional performance bonuses and company stock options.
