Site Managing Director – Packaging Manufacturing We are conducting a exclusive search for a Site Managing Director on behalf of a global leader within the packaging industry. This is a high-impact executive leadership opportunity offering full P&L ownership of a strategically important manufacturing site, with responsibility across operations, commercial performance, financial management, and long-term business growth. This role requires a highly visible, hands-on leader who is comfortable being on the manufacturing floor, engaging directly with teams, driving accountability, and leading operational performance in real time. This is an onsite leadership role requiring a 5-day-per-week presence at the facility. Location will remain confidential until completion of the initial candidate screening process. Key Responsibilities • Full P&L ownership and accountability for overall site financial performance • Lead all aspects of site operations including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, customer service, safety, and human resources • Drive operational and financial improvements focused on efficiency, EBITDA growth, margin enhancement, and customer satisfaction • Partner closely with commercial leadership to support customer growth, pricing strategy, profitability initiatives, and strategic account development • Lead capital investment planning, budgeting, and execution to support long-term operational and financial performance • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site • Build and develop high-performing teams through visible leadership, coaching, accountability, and talent development • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and operational standards • Collaborate with executive leadership and global cross-functional teams to implement best practices across the broader organization • Operate as the senior site leader with full P&L responsibility and autonomy to drive business performance Ideal Background • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience • Proven experience leading a manufacturing facility with full P&L ownership • Background within packaging, print, paper, labels, folding cartons, or adjacent manufacturing environments preferred • Strong operational and commercial leadership with a demonstrated ability to improve site profitability and overall business performance • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within complex manufacturing environments • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecasting, cost reduction, and full P&L performance • Proven track record as a hands-on leader who leads from the floor, builds culture, and drives accountability throughout the organization • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related discipline preferred Additional Information • Onsite executive leadership role within a manufacturing environment (5 days per week) • Opportunity to lead a highly visible site within a global packaging organization • Significant executive exposure and long-term growth potential • Relocation support available for the right candidate • Competitive compensation package including bonus potential If you would be open to a confidential discussion, feel free to reach out directly.
