Sr. Security Software Engineer - Security Operations Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Security Software Engineer - Security Operations Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $125,200 – $158,600 annually Responsibilities Own architecture & delivery for complex integration services with production SLIs/SLOs Build AI-driven workflows that augment investigations, triage, and orchestration Create reusable connectors bridging various security tools with robust error handling Implement security automation to enrich alerts and trigger responses Harden and observe services with CI/CD, automated testing, and metrics Mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews, coding standards, and reference implementations Translate requirements into clear epics/roadmaps; align stakeholders and deliver on time with quality Qualifications 5-7 years in software security engineering; advanced proficiency in modern programming languages Expert in API development, microservices, event streaming, and idempotent integration patterns Experience deploying software using any modern CI/CD pipeline and automated delivery practices Hands-on with security tooling integrations (e.g., SIEM, EDR, SSPM) Proven AI integration experience: LLM agents, embeddings, vector databases, RAG, prompt engineering Cloud proficiency (Azure/AWS/GCP) and IaC (Terraform/Bicep/ARM/CloudFormation) Data engineering fluency: ETL/ELT, schema design, normalization/enrichment; formats (JSON, YAML, syslog, STIX/TAXII) Benefits Variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs including medical, dental, and vision Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts Retirement savings plan, sickness and accident benefits, and life insurance Paid vacation and holidays Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
