Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will lead our internal engineering team and drive technical execution across a wide range of commercial and industrial construction projects. This full-time, on-site role is based at our headquarters office in Spindale, NC and requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and effective collaboration across departments. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop an 8–10 person engineering team Read and interpret construction documents, drawings, schematics, and designs Design and develop electrical system specifications for commercial and industrial projects Identify and implement engineered solutions to field challenges Promote prefabrication and innovative electrical installation methods Collaborate with project teams to improve installation efficiency and productivity Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Microsoft Project, Excel, Bluebeam, Procore, and/or ConEst Ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and cost targets Maintain high standards for documentation, quality, and cross-team collaboration General Requirements (All Levels) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen Willingness to relocate to and/or commute to the Spindale, NC office Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) license 7–10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams or project scopes Experience with project management, estimating, prefabrication, and/or project controls Strong client communication and cross-functional leadership skills
