Production Manager Manufacturing

​​​​​ Key Responsibilities • Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet output and quality goals • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery • Monitor production performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and staff • Coordinate with other departments such as quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering • Analyze production data and prepare reports on KPIs (efficiency, downtime, scrap, etc.) • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.) • Manage labor utilization, staffing levels, and workforce planning • Oversee equipment maintenance coordination to minimize downtime • Control production costs and meet budget targets Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies • Proficiency with ERP systems and production tracking tools • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Key Competencies • Leadership and team development • Process improvement and efficiency optimization • Decision-making and problem-solving • Time management and organization • Data analysis and performance tracking Work Environment • Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures • May require extended hours, weekends, or shift work depending on production needs Preferred Qualifications (Optional) • Lean Six Sigma certification • Experience in high-volume or regulated manufacturing environments • Knowledge of OSHA and industry-specific compliance standards Company DescriptionManufacturing company located in Mooresville, NC; specializing in carbon fiber parts.
