Description

Our client, a leading organization in urban development and planning, is seeking an Urban Designer/Architect to join their team. As an Urban Designer/Architect, you will be part of the Master Plan Advisory department supporting the design and project management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Urban Designer/Architect Location: Washington, DC What's the Job? • Support the development of site planning graphics, including 2D and 3D density studies and site test fits. • Assist in creating compelling presentations using PowerPoint and other visualization tools. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design solutions meet project goals and market realities. • Conduct site assessments, zoning analysis, and support entitlement processes nationwide. • Engage with stakeholders and clients to communicate project progress and gather feedback effectively. What's Needed? • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or related field. • 5-6 years of experience in architecture or urban planning, excluding interiors. • Proficiency in PowerPoint, SketchUp, or AutoCAD for graphic and site layout development. • Strong understanding of master planning, infrastructure design, and zoning procedures. • Availability to travel as needed and support projects across various locations.
