The Opportunity As a Lead Level Designer at Eleventh Hour Games, you will be responsible for shaping the environments, encounters, and player experiences that bring Last Epoch to life. You will guide a team of designers in creating compelling levels that balance gameplay flow, narrative integration, and visual storytelling. This role requires both creative vision and production discipline. You’ll partner closely with design, art, and engineering teams to ensure levels are fun, functional, and performant. As a leader, you’ll mentor designers, refine workflows, and keep the level design team aligned with project goals and deadlines. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of level designers, fostering collaboration and professional development Drive the creative vision and execution of levels, ensuring they support gameplay, narrative, and artistic goals Work closely with environment artists, narrative designers, and systems designers to deliver cohesive experiences Review and provide feedback on level layouts, encounter balance, and worldbuilding consistency Ensure all levels meet performance, quality, and accessibility standards Contribute hands-on to level blockouts, encounter scripting, and gameplay prototyping Establish and refine level design workflows, pipelines, and best practices for scalability and efficiency Collaborate with production to scope, schedule, and track level design deliverables Advocate for player experience, ensuring levels feel engaging, rewarding, and true to the vision of the game Qualifications 5+ years of professional level design experience in the game industry, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior design role Track record of shipping at least one title in a senior or leadership capacity Understanding of encounter design, pacing, and player progression Experience working with level design tools in engines such as Unity or Unreal Collaborative mindset with experience guiding cross-disciplinary teams (art, design, and engineering) Communication and documentation skills in a remote-first environment Problem-solving and organizational skills Preferences Familiarity with ARPGs, live-service pipelines, and multi-team collaboration Reasonable Accommodation KRAFTON Americas is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals.
