Description This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations. In this role, you will work alongside government partners, engineers, and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement—helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success. This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility, enterprise program at the intersection of data, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. Ideal candidates are motivated by mission impact, comfortable operating in complex stakeholder environments, and interested in building deep domain expertise while delivering capabilities with real-world national security outcomes. Primary Responsibilities: • Design and develop user experience solutions including wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs. • Apply human-centered design principles to improve usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction. • Conduct user research, usability testing, and workflow analysis to inform design decisions. • Develop user personas, journey maps, and interaction models to support product design. • Collaborate with UI engineers, software developers, and product teams to implement UX designs. • Support integration of UX design into Agile and DevSecOps development processes . • Evaluate system interfaces and identify usability issues and improvement opportunities. • Support development and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and UX standards. • Ensure compliance with accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508). • Analyze user behavior and feedback to drive continuous improvement. • Support development of training materials and user documentation to enhance adoption. • Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Basic Qualifications: • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility. • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Human Factors, Psychology, Design, or related discipline and 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6–10 years of relevant experience. • Minimum of 8 years of experience in UX design, human-factors engineering, or related field and proficiency with UX design tools • Experience designing user experiences for enterprise applications or platforms. • Experience conducting user research and usability testing. • Experience with UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar). • Strong understanding of interaction design, usability, and information architecture principles. • Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. • Proven experience with Section 508 accessibility standards. • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. • Experience in developing and implementing customer success plans. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Strong analytical skills and experience with user and customer analytics. Preferred Qualifications: • Active TS/SCI clearance. • Experience supporting UX design for data platforms, analytics tools, or AI/ML systems. • Experience working in secure or multi-enclave environments. • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular). • Experience contributing to design systems and UX standards. • Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments. • Portfolio demonstrating UX design work across complex systems. • Experience in service portfolio and service catalog management. • Experience designing within classified or multi-security enclave environments. • Knowledge of FINOPS and cost/benefit analysis for service investments. • Experience in designing and maintaining knowledge management systems.
