We achieve this by providing efficient, knowledgeable, and reliable service to employees throughout their entire GetYourGuide journey, ensuring a compliant and empathetic approach. To support us on this journey, we are seeking a dedicated People Operations Lead Germany. <strong>You will lead and develop our Germany People Operations Specialists</strong> and <strong>also directly own and drive operational work across the employee lifecycle</strong>, including complex cases and stakeholder alignment. This role is based in Berlin, Germany.</p> <h3><strong>Your mission</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Lead and coach</strong> the Germany People Operations Specialists, building capability and a culture of continuous improvement and innovative thinking.</li> <li><strong>Stay hands-on operationally</strong>, owning key People Operations topics across the employee lifecycle and managing escalated cases; ensure Germany processes align with the global People Services model and act as backup for the global team lead when needed.</li> <li><strong>Drive and implement process improvements</strong> that enhance the German employee experience while increasing compliance, efficiency, and scalability.</li> <li><strong>Own Germany audit requests and compliance readiness</strong>, partnering with key internal stakeholders (Payroll, People Systems, Legal, People Partners/Relations) and external counsel where required.</li> <li><strong>Lead German labor law reviews</strong> and translate requirements into practical operational standards, documentation, and local policy work (e.g., Health &amp; Safety, policy creation/updates), ensuring rollout and adoption.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Your toolkit</strong></h3> <ul> <li>University degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology (or related)</li> <li>5+ years in People Ops/HR Ops, ideally in a fast-paced, international environment.</li> <li>Proven people management experience — you enjoy coaching and developing others while staying hands-on operationally.</li> <li>Strong German labor law knowledge; confident partnering on compliance topics with Payroll/Legal/People Partners/People Systems and external counsel when needed.</li> <li>German native/mother tongue and fluent English; highly effective stakeholder manager (people-first, pragmatic, structured, able to juggle priorities).</li> <li>Comfortable with HR tech and tooling (Workday or similar HRIS, Jira Service Management, Google Workspace) while being curious about AI and automation, ideally with proven examples of using them to increase efficiency and scalability.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Extras that give you an edge</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience in<strong> </strong>AI for operational excellence in People Ops</li> </ul> <h3><strong>How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development</li> <li>Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year</li> <li>A hybrid working approach with three days of in office collaboration (Mon, Tue, Thur) and two days of optional at home focus time.</li> <li>Opportunities to collaborate and socialize with team members through quarterly team events and yearly company-wide events</li> <li>Monthly transportation and fitness budget</li> <li>Discounts for you, your friends, and family on GetYourGuide activities</li> <li>Language reimbursement program</li> <li>Health and wellness benefits</li> </ul> <p>And more…</p> <h3><strong>How to apply</strong></h3> <p>Submit your CV/resume in English using the form below.
