Our team of 40+ writers works closely with Experience Design, Experience Research, and Design Program Management to support the product development process from beginning to end. Whether you excel in upfront storytelling, end-to-end systems design, or nitty-gritty execution you'll find your people here.<br><br><strong>The Difference You Will Make</strong></p> <p>You'll join a foundational team exploring the ways Airbnb can foster guests' and hosts' relationships to the people that matter to them, on the platform and out in the world. You’ll help design new features that let people connect meaningfully with other travelers–to share advice, inspire each other, and plan more great trips together. Ideally, you love ambiguous problem spaces and thinking through complex interactive ecosystems.<br><br><strong>A Typical Day</strong></p> <ul> <li>Write clear and concise copy across multiple product touch-points</li> <li>Drive strategy and UX Writing deliverables across multiple highly complex projects</li> <li>Develop inspiring, strategic ideas based on product requirements, data, and/or research</li> <li>Consider what language and design patterns best serve the UX</li> <li>Present content and design work to Design Directors, executives, or other stakeholders on your projects</li> <li>Drive consensus with stakeholders and/or partners on content recommendations</li> <li>Manage copy deadlines and deliver detailed copy across multiple projects</li> <li>Connect with our critical cross-functional partners—accessibility, anti-discrimination, legal, localization—to ensure we have the proper input on our work</li> <li>Regularly join writing team crits to provide structured feedback and help sharpen the work of your teammates</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your Expertise</strong></p> <ul> <li>12+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or content strategy</li> <li>Proven ability to lead content/copy work from concept to detailed design</li> <li>Experience working with and presenting to executive teams</li> <li>Experience writing content principles, messaging frameworks, and style guides</li> <li>Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in all stages design &amp; build</li> <li>Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns</li> <li>Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Proven ability to move work forward in an ambiguous work environment</li> <li>Comfortable working alongside other design disciplines in Figma, our primary collaboration tool</li> <li>Passion for Airbnb’s mission, commitment to diversity, and global mindset</li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Your Location:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">This position is US - Remote Eligible. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
