Description
For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Full Stack / SRE (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Technical Services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $140,000 – $155,000 annually
Responsibilities
Plans and executes project roadmaps independently
Participates in planning sessions with partners and stakeholders
Travels to present to clients and stakeholders as necessary
Evolves complex products to uncover constraints and opportunities
Reduces ambiguity through documentation and refactoring
Communicates design decisions and project history effectively
Participates in technical interviews for new candidates
Presents technical topics to guide business decisions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of engineering experience or Site Reliability Engineer
3+ years of backend web application development, preferably in Ruby on Rails
Experience with Sidekiq or similar background job processing framework
Proven experience with DataDog and/or Dynatrace for APM
Demonstrated incident response and troubleshooting experience
Proficiency in at least one modern JavaScript framework
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
