Jr Software Engineer

We are seeking a Jr Software Engineer to support the development and maintenance of complex software systems within a collaborative engineering environment. This role involves building scalable applications, integrating modern technologies, and supporting both frontend and backend development efforts. The ideal candidate has experience with C++ and Python development, modern web technologies, containerization, and database platforms, along with a strong interest in developing innovative and mission-focused technical solutions. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain full stack software applications and services • Develop backend functionality using C++, Python, Java, and related technologies • Build and maintain frontend applications using Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks • Develop and support database solutions using MongoDB and SQL-based technologies • Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes • Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance solutions • Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues • Integrate software into new and existing systems and environments • Develop database queries and support data processing activities • Participate in software testing, validation, and quality assurance activities • Contribute to software documentation and process improvement initiatives • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle Required Qualifications • Must be fully cleared with a recent MD polygraph • Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience) • Strong programming experience with C++ and Python • Experience with Java development • Experience working with MongoDB and SQL databases • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Experience developing frontend applications using Angular, HTML, and JavaScript • Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Desired Qualifications • Experience working with distributed systems or cloud-based environments • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies • Experience supporting data-intensive or real-time applications • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines • #CJ Fantom Corp is a Software Development, Agile Cloud, Cyber Security (Risk Management, Assessments & Authorization (A&A)), Data, AI Platform (Computer Vision Models), Podcasting Media Services, and IT Services provider.
