Junior Data Engineer

IdeaCrew is currently seeking junior Data Engineers to join our innovative, hard-working team as we disrupt healthcare technology. As a member of our Analytics team, you will work with a modern data stack, build scalable data pipelines with python, and support external and internal reporting needs. A Junior Data Engineer for IdeaCrew will • Build and scale data pipelines in production environments using a modern data stack. • Carry out complex analysis utilizing PostgresSQL. • Implement data modeling best practices to support analytics and reporting needs. • Design technical architectures and infrastructure components. • Create automated data and code quality checks. • Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data security and compliance. • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including business process owners, analysts, and software engineers, to understand requirements and deliver solutions. • Develop and maintain technical and process documentation such as data dictionaries, ERDs, data governance policies, etc. Desired Skills & Expertise • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python for data processing in a production environment. • 2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL. • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or CouchDB is preferred. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in collaborative, cross-functional teams. • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data modeling concepts. • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) in a production environment. • Experience with the training and evaluation of machine learning models in consultation with stakeholders, SMEs, and other data scientists is a plus
