We’re rebuilding and unbundling the core of Stripe so that no matter what the business, the location or use-case there is a single place that can fulfil all financial needs: <a href="https://stripe.com/treasury">Stripe Treasury</a>. This is a 0 → 1 new business at Stripe so if that sounds exciting we’d love to hear from you!</p> <h2>What you’ll do</h2> <p>Engineers at Stripe are comfortable working on new products under fluid conditions, seamlessly balancing tactical and strategic considerations all in service of our users</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Deliver a world class mobile experience for Treasury users</li> <li>Scope and lead technical projects, laying the groundwork for our products to iteratively evolve and scale</li> <li>Design, build, expand and maintain mobile specific view cross-platform components, backing APIs and their services</li> <li>Work with our partners to design and launch new features and capabilities</li> <li>Align our technical decisions with Stripe’s broad strategic initiatives, while also advocating for needs specific to emerging new businesses</li> <li>Work with engineers across the company to understand when existing infrastructure can be leveraged vs. when building a bespoke solution is prudent</li> <li>Develop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps&nbsp;</li> <li>Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <p>We’re looking for software engineers with experience distributing products via mobile who have an eye for detail and are happy delivering changes at any layer of the technical stack.</p> <h3>Minimum requirements</h3> <ul> <li>Have a strong technical background, including 3+ years of industry experience</li> <li>Have experience building mobile applications including working beyond just the client</li> <li>Understand good practices when building and working with UIs and APIs</li> <li>Measure your success in terms of business impact, not lines of code</li> <li>Internalize the best ideas from across the organization, humbly setting a vision that others are excited to get behind</li> <li>Work well cross-functionally and earn trust from co-workers at all levels. You are often cited as the inspiration for engineers that join your team</li> <li>Care deeply about mentorship and growing engineers</li> <li>Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what will last and scale</li> <li>Thrive in a collaborative environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different areas of expertise. Engineering works closely with a variety of teams: Sales and Support to better understand our customers’ needs, Legal and Accounting to understand how global policies influence our money-moving infrastructure, etc.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Have experience using React Native</li> <li>Have experience in ensuring great user experience and ease of use of features for products you build.</li> <li>Have experience with financial product companies and interest in financial products and markets</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;</li> </ul>
