Senior Freelance Pattern Maker – Luxury Women’s Wear Location: West Palm Beach, Florida (Atelier-Based) Michelle Farmer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Freelance Pattern Maker to join our atelier in West Palm Beach. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a deep understanding of luxury women’s wear, exceptional technical ability, and a passion for craftsmanship and precision. Our collections are designed and manufactured in-house, with a strong emphasis on impeccable fit, beautiful fabrics, and refined construction. This is an opportunity to work closely with a design-driven team in a collaborative, high-standard environment. Key Responsibilities • Create first patterns for ready-to-wear, resort, and evening collections • Interpret design concepts into precise, production-ready patterns • Execute draping, flat patternmaking, and pattern corrections with accuracy • Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to achieve exceptional fit • Collaborate closely with the designer, sample makers, and production team • Prepare patterns for sampling and final production • Ensure consistency in sizing, grading, and construction standards Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in luxury women’s wear pattern making • Strong expertise in draping and flat pattern techniques • Experience with delicate fabrics such as silk, chiffon, lace, and evening materials • Deep understanding of garment construction and fit at a couture level • Ability to work from sketches, references, or verbal direction • Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence • Experience working in an atelier or high-end fashion house preferred Work Structure • Freelance / project-based with ongoing opportunities • Atelier-based in West Palm Beach (in-person preferred for fittings and development) • Flexible scheduling based on project needs About Us Michelle Farmer is a luxury women’s wear brand known for timeless design, exquisite fabrics, and a dedication to craftsmanship.
