Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Volunteer Senior Product Designer to lead the design of user-centered digital products and experiences. This role will help shape how our community interacts with our platforms, resources, and services while ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and engagement. Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Design Lead end-to-end product design initiatives from concept to implementation. Translate user needs and organizational goals into intuitive digital solutions. Develop product design strategies aligned with the organization's mission. Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements and priorities. User Experience Research Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing. Create user personas, journey maps, workflows, and information architecture. Identify user pain points and opportunities for improvement. Validate design decisions through user feedback and analytics. UI/UX Design Design wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity user interfaces. Create responsive designs for web and mobile platforms. Develop and maintain design systems and style guides. Ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with developers, project managers, marketing teams, and leadership. Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders. Mentor junior designers and volunteer contributors when applicable. Support product planning and roadmap discussions. Accessibility & Inclusion Advocate for accessible and inclusive design practices. Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices. Design experiences that reflect cultural awareness and community needs. QualificationsRequired 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or related fields. Strong portfolio demonstrating product design and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools. Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and design systems. Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Experience working with nonprofits, healthcare, wellness, or social impact organizations. Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design standards. Experience in Agile product development environments. Passion for mental health advocacy and community empowerment.
