Become part of IONOS and grow with us.</p></div><h4>Tasks</h4> <ul> <li>You lead and develop a software engineering team of approximately 15 engineers building our Website Builder Application – driving roadmap delivery, technical excellence and team performance.</li> <li>You are accountable for the architectural direction, code quality, reliability and continuous evolution of the Website Builder Application in close collaboration with Product Management and stakeholders.</li> <li>You educate, coach and grow your engineers, set clear goals and create an environment in which people do their best work and continuously develop.</li> <li>You drive our “AI first” initiative within your team and embed AI methods and tools deeply into daily engineering and product work.</li> <li>You design and run continuous learning, training and enablement formats so every team member builds AI fluency and applies it confidently in their day-to-day.</li> <li>You collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, other engineering teams and stakeholders to shape priorities, unblock delivery and create business impact.</li> <li>As a secondary responsibility, you act as the on-site representative for our Cologne development office and take care of selected operational and organizational topics around office, culture and employee experience.</li> </ul> <h4>Qualifications</h4> <ul> <li>Several years of experience leading software engineering teams of 15+ people, ideally in web applications, SaaS or website builder products.</li> <li>Strong technical background in modern web technologies, distributed systems and agile delivery – credible and impactful with senior engineers.</li> <li>Proven track record of shipping high-quality web or SaaS products at scale and continuously improving engineering practices, quality and velocity.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AI and GenAI tools and a clear vision for how AI changes engineering and product workflows.</li> <li>Strong people leadership skills: hiring, coaching, performance management and the ability to build a strong, inclusive team culture.</li> <li>Hands-on mentality and ownership combined with the ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking and clear prioritization.</li> <li><strong>Strong verbal and written German skills </strong>(English is a big plus), and willingness to take on light operational site-representative duties for the Cologne office.</li> </ul> <h4>Benefits</h4> <ul> <li>Hybrid working model.</li> <li>Flexible working hours through trust-based working hours.</li> <li>At some locations a subsidized canteen and various free drinks.</li> <li>Modern office space with very good transport connections.</li> <li>Various employee discounts for activities and products.</li> <li>Employee events such as summer and winter parties, as well as workshops.</li> <li>Numerous training and development opportunities.</li> <li>Various health offers, such as sports and health courses.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h4>About IONOS</h4> <p class="content-paragraph">IONOS is the leading European digitalization partner for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB).
