Job Summary
High-performance server product team in Supermicro is seeking talented Sr. Product Manager who can engage the technical collateral development of in-house multi-node server system products. This individual will have the opportunity to define and implement latest data center and storage technologies, and to create proof of concepts and technical feature paper presentations to differentiate Supermicro product through online and at various industry events. This individual will also be the go-to person for product managers and system engineers to be the subject of matter expert in design/quality/production/on-site issue management.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
Work with product managers, system engineers and production to manage the product life cycle (from design to EOL phase), and help production to solve any system level issues
Work with rack PM, production line, sales to facilitate project based order delivery and issue management
Apply various component knowledge such as CPU, DRAM, flash-based storage, and motherboard to develop and integrate embedded system products and solutions
Proactively engage in learning and researching new technologies and products to propose new Proof of Concepts
Work with rack/sales/FAE department and customers to provide optimal solution and technical support
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master's degree in EE, CE, CS or ME with minimum of 8 years working experiences
Strong knowledge in OCP V3 rack architecture. Previous experience in server product development is a plus
Strong knowledge in enterprise server architecture. Previous experience in server product development is a plus
Strong knowledge in server architecture (including PCIe, SATA, and SAS protocols) and OS applications, and knowledge in vSAN is a plus
Knowledge in in-band and OOB (IPMI/BIOS) management, Networking is a plus
Experiences in benchmarks(FIO/IOMeter/vdbench), Windows and Linux OS and scripting languages (python, JavaScript, Visual Basic) are a plus
Salary Range
$162,000 - $182,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
