## Senior Unreal Programmer — High Voltage Software High Voltage is actively seeking an experienced Senior Unreal Programmer to join our rapidly growing Engineering team. We believe the best gameplay experiences come from close collaboration and iteration between gameplay programmers, designers, and artists. In this role you will play a vital part in driving the development of future gameplay features and improving existing systems. You will work closely with art and design to create and iterate on gameplay features, using rapid prototyping while ensuring strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made. We expect you to write robust, understandable code and systems designed for long term use and maintenance. Improving existing gameplay systems by diagnosing and fixing networking and gameplay issues will be part of your day-to-day, and we encourage you to contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development. A few concrete things we look for: - Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience. - 5-8+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine (both in UE4 and UE5) in the gaming industry. - Experience developing games professionally on PC and consoles with shipped titles. - Strong C++ and Epic Blueprint skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools. - Strong math skills and a keen analytical mind with solid problem-solving ability. - A broad knowledge of games and the ability to articulate what is strong or weak about the design of existing games (an interest in online games is preferred). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal). - Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independently. - Passion for video games.
