We’re looking for an experienced financial controller to join our International Accounting team. As a key part of our controllership team in Singapore you will help us build our technical accounting and financial reporting processes, work with business partners, financial partners, external stakeholders and our world-class engineers. You will help us develop best in class accounting processes and help track our progress within a fast-paced environment that’s growing globally.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Lead Financial Close Processes</strong>: Manage the monthly close of US GAAP books and local books, including balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, fluctuation analysis, and other reporting deliverables.</li> <li><strong>Statutory Audit Process</strong>: Own the end-to-end statutory audit process, including the financial statement preparation under relevant local GAAP, technical memos, audit support, culminating in presentations to the board of directors for the assigned entities.</li> <li><strong>Technical Expertise</strong>: Maintain fluency with US GAAP and IFRS, research, document and drive the necessary technical accounting memos.</li> <li><strong>Cross-functional Collaboration</strong>: Participate in cross-functional projects for new initiatives and partner effectively with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Regulatory Compliance, and Legal teams on diverse projects or support financial decision-making.</li> <li><strong>Outsourcing Management</strong>: Carefully supervise finance outsourcing partners to ensure compliance and filing requirements are met timely and accurately</li> <li><strong>Process Efficiency</strong>: Drive improvement on the existing processes through finance transformation initiatives and automation projects, including AI identification/ recommendation and implementation.</li> <li><strong>Regulatory Compliance</strong>: Prepare regulatory and statistical returns or surveys to the regulators or government agencies and stay informed on changes in accounting and tax regulations.</li> <li><strong>Tax Review</strong>: Work closely with the tax team to ensure local entity tax compliance and provide accounting support for tax audits/reviews.</li> <li><strong>Business support</strong>: Support new product and entity launches where accounting technical advice is required.</li> <li><strong>Budgeting</strong>: Support budgeting, forecasting, actual and variance analysis of the finance outsourcing partners.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience</strong>: 8+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 audit background.</li> <li><strong>Systems Proficiency</strong>: Excellent knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., Oracle or equivalent) and experience in AI automation.</li> <li><strong>Audit Knowledge</strong>: Experience handling large audits (central and local teams), statutory reporting, and tax compliance. Experience with Workiva FS preparation.</li> <li><strong>Accounting Expertise</strong>: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.</li> <li><strong>Project Management</strong>: Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional initiatives.</li> <li><strong>Communication Skills</strong>: Excellent written and verbal communication in English.</li> <li><strong>Adaptability</strong>: Flexible with changing requirements in a fast-paced and growing environment, ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently.</li> <li><strong>Certification</strong>: Qualified accountant with accounting certification, such as&nbsp; ACCA, CA or equivalent.</li> <li><strong>Degree</strong> in Accounting or Finance background</li> <li><strong>Problem Solver</strong>: Strong passion for solving complex challenges</li> </ul> <p><strong>Self starter: Self-motivated and proactive with a desire to succeed</strong></p> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Background</strong>: Knowledge of or experience in the payments, fin-tech, or financial services industries.</li> <li><strong>Tech Experience</strong>: Accounting experience in a fast-growing tech environment.</li> <li><strong>Technical Skills</strong>: Hubble/SQL experience beneficial.</li> </ul>
