View all jobs Devops Engineer 4 - (Python, Ansible, Terraform) Annapolis Junction, Maryland • Computer/Software Devops Engineer 4 - (Python, Ansible, Terraform) Clearance: TS/SCI w/ poly Position ID: 09-8770-DEVOPS4 Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland Description The DevOps Engineer will provide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system using cutting-edge cloud, containerization, automation, and CI/CD technologies. This role is responsible for developing Infrastructure as Code, automating operational tasks, maintaining compliant Linux-based systems, managing AWS cloud infrastructure, supporting containerized workloads, and enabling reliable software delivery through automated build, test, and deployment pipelines. Responsibilities • Develop Infrastructure as Code, automation scripts, and tools to automate tasks, provision managed services, and support operational efficiency using technologies such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform. • Patch, harden, and maintain compliance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. • Install, configure, maintain, and tune platforms and services including Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud-native logging and metrics collection tools. • Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code using GitLab runners, GitLab CI/CD, and Argo CD. • Manage commercial cloud computing platforms, primarily AWS. • Design, implement, and support reliable infrastructure services that meet program and product needs. • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, reliability, and uptime. • Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues. • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and technical leadership. • Perform work in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, with little to no remote work. Position Desired Skills (2 Of The Below) • Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto scaling. • Understanding of AWS networking principles to include VPCs, NATs, IP Gateway. • Develop and manage Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes. • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability. • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime. • Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate. DEVOPS4 Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within last 7 years). Current Security+CE certificate. Salary Range: **$212k-$259k (Annually) • The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
