Description: Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Growth to Full-Time Location: Remote (U.S.-based) Type: Part-Time (with path to Full-Time) or Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt My Valuable Business, LLC (MVB) is a 25+ year professional services firm providing fractional CFO, accounting, marketing, HR, and business advisory services to small and midsize organizations. We partner closely with our clients to help them grow, operate more effectively, and maximize long-term value. Our team is collaborative, thoughtful, and execution-focused. Position Overview: My Valuable Business (MVB) is seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support multiple client organizations. This role is responsible for providing both financial oversight and forward-looking strategic guidance—helping clients understand their numbers, make informed decisions, and stay aligned with their goals. This is not a back-office accounting role. You will act as the CFO for multiple clients, working directly with CEOs and leadership teams. The right candidate is comfortable communicating clearly and directly, including pushing back when needed and guiding clients away from poor financial decisions. The ideal candidate has owned a P&L and understands what it means to be accountable for business performance. You are comfortable managing multiple relationships, balancing priorities, and translating financial data into meaningful insights. This role is open to part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position, or full-time for the right fit! Requirements: • Serve as the CFO for multiple clients, acting in their best financial interest • Lead monthly financial review meetings, including standing meetings and executive huddles • Respond to client inquiries and provide ongoing financial guidance throughout the month • Review and quality control financial reports before delivery to clients • Use historical financial data to provide forward-looking insights and strategic recommendations • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts • Build and maintain vendor relationships and support financing conversations • Attend and participate in board meetings and finance committee meetings • Advise client teams on accounting-related questions and best practices • Collaborate with internal MVB teams supporting client engagements Qualifications: • Experience as a CFO, Fractional CFO, or senior finance leader • Direct P&L ownership required • Experience working directly with CEOs or executive leadership teams • Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities • Strong financial analysis and strategic thinking skills • Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights • Comfort communicating directly and providing constructive pushback when needed • Strong attention to detail, particularly in reviewing financial reports • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, IF statements, conditional formatting) • Experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks or similar preferred) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • High level of professionalism, judgment, and accountability • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • Must pass a criminal background check Benefits: • Flexible Time Off (FTO): Unlimited paid time off to support work-life balance • Comprehensive Health Coverage: 100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision insurance • Paid Federal Holidays • Thanksgiving Week Time Off: Tuesday through Friday off • Year-End Closure: Closed from Christmas Eve through after New Year’s Day • Paid Parental Leave (Maternity & Paternity) • Career Development: Access to training and growth opportunities • Flexible, Remote-First Work Environment: Work from anywhere in the U.S. with flexible start and stop times • Provided Equipment: All necessary equipment supplied My Valuable Business, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
