Software Engineer II

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $124,000 – $193,000 annually Responsibilities Build, test, and integrate AI solutions including LLM-based systems Implement systems to extract structured information and classify content Contribute to a shared AI platform focusing on reuse and developer experience Translate requirements into production-quality AI components Optimize AI systems for performance, cost, and reliability Stay current with AI/ML trends and evaluate tools and technologies Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering partners to understand requirements and contribute to planning Qualifications 4+ years of professional software engineering experience Proficiency in Go or another modern backend language such as Python, PHP, or Java 1+ year of experience with AI/ML systems in production or production-adjacent environments Familiarity with modern GenAI ecosystems like OpenAI and Hugging Face Exposure to NLP tasks using LLMs (text classification, named entity recognition) Basic working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience with SQL and structured data Benefits Hybrid work model for Austin Metro candidates, three days in office Hands-on exposure to complex problem spaces Opportunity for growth in technical skills and influence Supportive team culture that values communication and collaboration Potential for variable compensation such as bonuses or equity Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
