Senior Software Engineer - Platform Infrastructure

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Platform Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Media environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $164,448 – $234,926 annually Responsibilities Design, build, and operate multi-cloud foundations across GCP and AWS Own platform components end-to-end with emphasis on reliability and security Improve developer tooling and platform self-service capabilities Build secure-by-default infrastructure patterns Drive operational excellence through incident management and automation Collaborate across Platform and R&D to boost developer productivity Contribute to Backstage and Portal Mentor engineers and enhance engineering quality Qualifications 5+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience Deep experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS), Terraform, and Kubernetes Proficient in a modern programming language Strong experience with CI/CD and developer platforms Think in distributed systems and understand trade-offs Familiar with AI/LLM systems and their application to infrastructure Ability to communicate clearly and navigate complex trade-offs Experience in fostering inclusive and collaborative environments Benefits Health insurance Six-month paid parental leave 401(k) retirement plan Monthly meal allowance 23 paid days off Paid flexible holidays Paid sick leave Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
