Description

About the Team

OpenAI’s mission is to build safe artificial general intelligence (AGI) that benefits all of humanity. This long-term undertaking brings together the world’s best scientists, engineers, and business professionals to create transformative AI systems and products.

The Go-To-Market (GTM) Partnerships team builds and scales OpenAI’s strategic partner ecosystem, enabling customers, accelerating adoption, and driving growth in support of our mission. We work closely across Sales, Product, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Business Systems to create seamless experiences for both partners and internal teams.

About the Role

As part of the Partner Strategy, Operations & Programs team, the Partner Experience Lead will define and scale the operating system behind OpenAI's global partner ecosystem.

This role owns the systems, processes, programs, and data architecture that enable partners and internal teams to operate efficiently at scale. You will build the foundations that ensure partner-facing platforms, operational workflows, and reporting infrastructure work seamlessly across the entire partner lifecycle.

You will serve as the connective tissue between Partnerships, Revenue Operations, Business Systems, Data Engineering, Finance, and Product teams to ensure partner programs are operationally sound, measurable, and continuously improving.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role for someone who combines systems thinking, operational rigor, analytics expertise, and team leadership. You understand how to translate partnership strategy into scalable operating models, how to build trusted data foundations, and how to create exceptional partner experiences through technology and process.

In this role you will:

Partner Systems, Programs & Operations

  • Own the end-to-end partner operating model, including partner onboarding, engagement, governance, and lifecycle management.

  • Define and evolve Rules of Engagement (ROE), operating procedures, FAQs, escalation paths, and program frameworks that create clarity across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of partner systems, including CRM, PRM, and supporting partner technologies.

  • Ensure system integrations, workflows, automations, and data flows operate reliably across the partner ecosystem.

  • Partner with Business Systems and Engineering teams to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and drive adoption of partner platforms.

  • Design scalable processes that reduce operational friction while improving partner satisfaction and productivity.

  • Establish governance models that ensure consistency across partner motions globally.

  • Lead the development and operationalization of partner programs, including incentives, tiering structures, certifications, onboarding experiences, and engagement frameworks.

  • Drive issue management, exception handling, and continuous improvement initiatives across the partner lifecycle.

Data, Analytics & Business Performance

  • Own the partner data strategy and reporting infrastructure.

  • Define the KPI framework used to measure partner performance, ecosystem health, operational efficiency, and business impact.

  • Establish trusted reporting environments that provide leadership with decision-grade visibility into partner performance.

  • Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to design scalable data pipelines, governance standards, and reporting architecture.

  • Build and evolve executive dashboards, operating reviews, forecasting frameworks, and inspection cadences.

  • Lead quota-setting and target allocation processes for partner-sourced, partner-influenced, and partner-managed motions.

  • Develop attribution methodologies and measurement frameworks that accurately reflect partner contribution and business outcomes.

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, auditability, and trust across partner systems and reporting environments.

  • Drive analytical insights that inform strategic decisions, investment priorities, and program optimization.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead and scale a global team responsible for partner operations, programs, systems, and analytics.

  • Act as the primary operational advisor to Partnerships leadership on systems, processes, performance management, and organizational scaling.

  • Partner closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, Data, Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Product organizations to align priorities and execution.

  • Build operating cadences that drive accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the partner ecosystem.

  • Create alignment across stakeholders during periods of rapid growth, ambiguity, and organizational change.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in Strategy & Operations, Partner Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or related functions within high-growth technology companies.

  • Deep expertise designing and scaling CRM, PRM, and partner technology ecosystems.

  • Experience owning large-scale operational transformations involving systems, workflows, governance, and organizational change.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, reporting infrastructure, business intelligence, and analytics operating models.

  • Experience building KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, forecasting processes, and performance management systems.

  • Experience leading quota-setting, territory planning, target allocation, or related business planning initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, attribution methodologies, and operational metrics design.

  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable systems and processes.

  • Experience leading high-performing global teams across operations, analytics, systems, or program management disciplines.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing executive leadership.

  • A builder mentality with the ability to balance strategy, execution, and operational excellence.
