Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive our long-term strategy in developing innovative retirement products from concept to launch. In this role, you will manage existing product portfolios to maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to identify product opportunities and devise compelling value propositions.
• Research market opportunities, build business cases for product innovations, and gather consumer feedback to understand market dynamics.
• Define product features, profitability metrics, sales goals, and timelines for product launches, ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
• Conduct feasibility studies and engage in R&D to evaluate ideas, collaborating with sales and analytics teams for thorough testing.
• Actively partner with various departments, including Marketing, Finance, and IT, to help determine product attributes and launch strategies.
• Facilitate resolution of product-related issues and foster consensus among stakeholders regarding the business portfolio.
• Source customer-centric product ideas and collaborate with different teams to create a robust product enhancement pipeline.
• Develop presentations to effectively communicate research findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four years of product development experience in the retirement industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of retirement product features and marketing techniques.
• Understanding of profitability metrics and analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for market analysis and assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to advocate for recommendations effectively.
• Strong decision-making capabilities to design research and utilize insights for product development.
• Strategic thinker with strong facilitation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Working Conditions
• Hybrid office environment: 3 days in the office (Baltimore, Cedar Rapids, Philadelphia, Denver).
• Occasional travel may be required.
The salary for this position generally ranges between $87,000-$115,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus of 15% based on performance.
