We build reusable integration assets and robust APIs to accelerate developer productivity and empower teams to integrate complex systems with ease.&nbsp;As our Enterprise Integration team continues to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled <strong>Workato Developer / Workato Architect</strong> with deep hands-on experience in building, optimising, and governing automation at scale.</p> <p>In this role, you will architect and develop advanced Workato recipes, frameworks, and connectors while ensuring best-in-class integration patterns and standards.&nbsp;You will partner closely with business Units and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business needs into reliable, scalable Workato solutions and ensure integrations operate flawlessly in production. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering (Integrations), you will play a key role within the Coinbase Enterprise Applications and Architecture Organization, driving automation strategy and elevating Workato platform excellence across the company.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing (i.e., job duties)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, automate, and maintain integrations across enterprise applications and platforms using Workato, custom connectors, and reusable automation frameworks.</li> <li>Architect scalable automation solutions and solve complex integration challenges by applying Workato best practices, patterns, and governance standards.</li> <li>Integrate Workato workflows with AI/LLM services (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or enterprise LLMs) to automate intelligent decision-making, content generation, or data enrichment.</li> <li>Design frameworks and reusable components for incorporating LLMs into business processes, ensuring secure, ethical, and scalable usage.</li> <li>Evaluate new AI/LLM capabilities and propose opportunities to embed them into enterprise automation strategies.</li> <li>Collaborate with business Units and engineering teams to gather, refine, and translate requirements into reliable Workato workflows and integrations.</li> <li>Build, optimize, and support ETL/ELT processes through Workato pipelines and related data integration tools to enable accurate business analytics.</li> <li>Identify and implement improvements to address architectural gaps, enhance performance, and reduce technical debt across automation and integration ecosystems.</li> <li>Participate in recipe reviews and architectural assessments to maintain quality, consistency, and adherence to platform standards.</li> <li>Manage Workato deployments, versioning, and configuration changes, and actively participate in release planning and execution.</li> <li>Provide troubleshooting assistance, platform guidance, and mentorship to team members and stakeholders using Workato.</li> <li>Stay current with automation, integration, AI/LLM advancements, and Workato platform enhancements to continuously strengthen our integration strategy.</li> <li>Actively contribute to team discussions and provide input on automation architecture, integration frameworks, and the Workato roadmap.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we look for in you (i.e., job requirements)</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in integration development</strong>, including designing, building, and supporting integrations across enterprise systems.</li> <li><strong>At least 1–2 years of strong, practical experience with Workato</strong>, including recipe development, custom connectors, job frameworks, error handling patterns, and platform governance.</li> <li>Experience architecting automation solutions using Workato or similar iPaaS tools with an ability to define scalable patterns and reusable components.</li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>APIs, webhooks, REST principles, and payload formats</strong> such as JSON and XML.</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>ETL/ELT concepts</strong> and experience supporting or building data pipelines.</li> <li>Exposure to AI/LLM technologies and the ability to integrate AI services into automation workflows.</li> <li>Understanding of responsible AI usage, including security, compliance, and data-handling considerations when working with LLMs.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues end-to-end.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of <strong>Salesforce Streaming Events</strong>, Platform Events, or Change Data Capture (CDC) and integrating them into Workato or related iPaaS solutions.</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>integration governance</strong>, recipe optimization frameworks, or establishing automation best practices at scale.</li> <li>Exposure to&nbsp;<strong>enterprise systems</strong> such as NetSuite, Workday, Snowflake, or other SaaS/ERP platforms commonly integrated via Workato.</li> </ul> <p><strong>PID - P75728</strong></p> <div id="fortidlp-input-element-parent"></div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><strong>Pay Transparency Notice:</strong> The target annual <strong>base</strong> salary for this position can range as detailed below.
