CNC Machinist Are you looking for a new career that will provide stability, benefits, and opportunities for growth and development? We have the opportunity you may be looking for in Johnstown, PA! Please Note: This position is for 3rd Shift. Job Purpose The Machinist is responsible for completely and independently setting up and operating various types of machines such as CNC mills and turning centers in order to produce parts to blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Primary Objectives • Set up and run four axis horizontal milling machines, three axis vertical milling machine, turning center, Servo bed mill and Bandsaw. Secondary Tasks • Program CNC mills and turning center. • Work with inspectors and supervisor to evaluate machined parts and determine any adjustments needed for the program, tools or fixturing. Key Accountabilities • Adheres to all M-B America policies, operating procedures and work instructions at all times. Experience/Education Required High School Diploma General Math Preferred • One year experience in setup and operation of CNC machines. • One year experience in setup and operation of conventional machines. • One year experience in programming Specific Skills Required Critical Thinking Able to tackle a problem using a logical, systematic approach. Notices discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information. Carefully weighs the priority of things to be done. Anticipates problems and develops contingencies in advance. Anticipates consequences and plans accordingly. Quickly identifies the underlying issue in a complex situation. Communication Communicates, in all modes, effectively with supervisors, peers and customers. Keeps his/her manager informed and avoids surprises. Speaks clearly and is easily understood. Expresses ideas concisely. Results Orientation Develops challenging but achievable goals. Maintains commitment to goals in the face of obstacles and frustrations. Exerts exceptional effort over time to achieve a goal. Focuses effort on meeting or exceeding goals. Adequate performance against previous year's goals. Reliability Completes assignments accurately and in a timely manner. Specific Skills Preferred • Accurately record and track all work performed on a daily basis • Deburr parts as necessary • Set and verify tools using a tool presetter • Enter required tool offsets into a machine program based on presetter information • Enter compensation values into program based on inspection results on a part • Perform coolant checks and additions • Understand and participate in Total Preventive maintenance • Knowledge of cutting tools and their application to CNC machining • Knowledge of and ability to use GD & T • Knowledge of and ability to design fixtures • Root cause analysis • Interpret CMM results View full job description and apply online at: https://martinbakeramerica.isolvedhire.com Questions?
