Data Engineer Intern

What You Will Do Supported by senior professionals, you will enter the heart of our data infrastructure. Your main activities will include: • Data Modelling: You will collaborate on the optimisation and evolution of the company data model. • Architecture & Microservices: You will work within a modern microservices-based infrastructure, understanding its logic and integration flows. • AI Integration: You will contribute to the integration and management of data feeding pipelines for our AI platform. • Querying & Analytics: You will write and optimise complex queries to ensure data quality and availability. Who We Are Looking For (Technical & Soft Skills) • SQL Fluent: Strong command of SQL (your mother tongue for this internship). • Modelling Foundations: Solid knowledge of relational data models (ER – Entity-Relationship Model). • Tech Curiosity: Strong interest in cloud, microservices architectures and the world of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. • Mindset: Analytical thinking, precision, problem-solving attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn. A background in quantum computing or quantum entanglement and non-commutative concepts would be a definite plus. Location: Rome Contract Type: Internship (6 months) Academic Background: Ideal candidates for this role typically come from STEM faculties, particularly Computer Engineering / Information Engineering or Computer Science, with a study plan including courses in Database Systems, Information Systems, Software Engineering and Operations Research/Statistics.
