Description

Clinical Practice Leadership Own the regional clinical practice strategy and execution so that coaching, seminars, coursework alignment, certification milestones, and school-based experience operate as one coherent system for fellows. Lead the design and implementation of a high-quality clinical practice experience that reflects CTA instructional expectations, local school contexts, and culturally responsive, equity-centered teaching practices. Coach 4 fellows directly in the clinical setting and ensure fellows receive timely, actionable feedback aligned to CTA’s instructional framework/rubric. Partner with the Executive Director and site leadership team to review fellow progress, escalate risk, and implement tiered interventions for fellows who are off track instructionally or toward certification. Coaching Team Management and Quality Assurance Supervise, develop, and retain the regional team of instructional coaches, including participation in hiring, onboarding, norming, regular check-ins, observations, managing coaching quality and effectiveness (in-person and in-schools) and performance feedback. Build coaches’ capacity to deliver research-based, responsive, and data-informed coaching that supports high-leverage instructional practice and fellow growth. Maintain coaching systems, including rosters, calendars, communication structures, scope and sequence, and coaching schedules, to ensure consistent implementation across the region. Monitor coaching completion, fidelity, and data quality in CTA systems; analyze coaching data after each cycle; identify trends; and lead continuous improvementactions. Ensure coaching practices, documentation, quality/effectiveness, and expectations are implemented consistently and in accordance with CTA protocols Work collaboratively on strategy and meet with the Director of PDCCC regularly to ensure the instructional coaching program implementation is done with fidelity Certification Readiness and Compliance Own site-level execution of certification readiness by ensuring fellows understand, monitor, and complete requirements related to program entry, testing, initial certification, and full/standard certification. Partner with national certification leadership to communicate requirements, deadlines, policy changes, and milestone expectations clearly to fellows, coaches, and site staff. Monitor fellow progress toward certification benchmarks, including provisionally admitted candidates and required assessments, and intervene early when fellows are at risk of missing milestones. Maintain a strong working knowledge of relevant state certification requirements and support site compliance, audits, reporting, and documentation needs in collaboration with national and site leaders. Coursework, Seminars, and Professional Learning Lead or coordinate regional seminars and professional learning experiences that reinforce the CTA learning model and align clinical practice to coursework, certification expectations, and fellow needs. Collaborate with national leaders to facilitate professional learning communities, breakout sessions, institutes, and other learning opportunities for fellows and/or staff. Collaborate with the Director of PDCCC to facilitate professional learning for coaches and implement coaching frameworks, facilitator guides, and seminar priorities with fidelity while adapting delivery to regional needs. Use data from coaching, coursework, and certification progress to refine supports, strengthen coherence, and improve fellow outcomes. Clinical Placement Experience and Cross-Functional Coordination Partner with the Director of Partnerships to manage the clinical placement experience for fellows, including communication about placement fit, school-based experience quality, mentor alignment, and issues that affect fellow success in placement settings. Coordinate with Fellow Experience and Partnerships leaders in weekly or biweekly reviews of all fellows to align supports, address placement or persistence concerns, and ensure a shared view of fellow progress. Examine local instructional standards, curriculum materials, and school context to ensure coaching and clinical support are responsive to placement realities and school partner expectations. Cultivate strong relationships with school partners, mentor teachers, coaches, faculty, and staff to strengthen the quality and consistency of the clinical experience. Data, Communication, and Organizational Stewardship Curate and use dashboards, reports, and progress-monitoring tools to track instructional performance, coaching implementation, coursework alignment, certification milestones, and related fellow outcomes.
