Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in industrial engineering and lean manufacturing initiatives to lead daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving production efficiency, improving quality, reducing waste, and leading continuous improvement efforts across the facility. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved • Lead and develop production supervisors, team leads, and manufacturing personnel • Manage injection molding processes, machine utilization, tooling coordination, and production scheduling • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, standardized work, and waste reduction • Utilize industrial engineering principles to improve workflow, labor efficiency, plant layout, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve throughput, scrap reduction, downtime, and labor performance • Collaborate with quality, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams to support operational goals • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and company policies • Support new product launches, process improvements, and continuous operational optimization Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred • 5+ years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment • Proven background in industrial engineering and process optimization • Demonstrated success leading lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives • Experience with KPI management, root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing reporting tools preferred Preferred Skills • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus • Experience with automation and high-volume manufacturing environments • Knowledge of tooling, plastics processing, and preventive maintenance coordination • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
