What You’ll Do: The Marketing and Communications Manager is a key member of the Marketing team and leads the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications initiatives that elevate Goodwill’s brand, strengthen community engagement, and support organizational growth.
• Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned with organizational goals.
•
Lead content creation and storytelling efforts that highlight Goodwill’s mission, impact, programs, and community presence.
•
Manage digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, website content, and online campaigns.
•
Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners and serve as a point of contact for press inquiries and public relations opportunities.
•
Analyze marketing performance metrics and translate data into actionable insights to improve engagement and reach.
•
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across the organization.
•
Support planning and execution of key initiatives such as events, campaigns, fundraisers, and store openings.
Education, Experience, and Skills That Are a Must
•
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or related field, including content development and campaign execution.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate mission-driven work into compelling content.
• Experience with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, SEO/SEM, and content management systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design and digital content tools.
• Valid NC driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally as needed.
Pay Range and Schedule
•
This position is salary-based and commensurate with experience.
•
Position is full-time. Work is generally conducted Monday–Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events required.
•
Position is based in Greensboro, NC, with a hybrid remote work option available based on performance and business needs.
