MEMORIAL HOSPITAL OF SWEETWATER COUNTY Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County (“MHSC”) is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and forward-looking healthcare executive to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). MHSC is a county memorial hospital governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Sweetwater County Board of County Commissioners. MHSC serves Sweetwater County and the surrounding region through acute care, specialty services, physician clinics, and community based healthcare operations. The CEO serves as the Hospital’s senior executive leader and reports directly to the Board of Trustees. The CEO is responsible for the overall leadership, management, strategic direction, and operational oversight of the Hospital and its affiliated operations. The Board of Trustees is seeking a leader who demonstrates integrity, accountability, sound judgment, strong communication skills, operational experience, financial stewardship, and the ability to foster productive relationships throughout the organization and community. Essential Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Providing executive leadership for Hospital operations, strategic initiatives, and organizational stewardship; • Supporting MHSC’s mission of “Compassionate care for every life we touch” through leadership focused on patient care, professionalism, accountability, and service excellence; • Advancing the Hospital’s vision “To be our community’s trusted healthcare leader” through operational leadership, strategic planning, physician engagement, and community relationships; • Promoting and modeling MHSC’s values of being kind, respectful, accountable, collaborative, and committed to excellence; • Supporting a culture focused on patient safety, quality improvement, professionalism, accountability, and employee engagement; • Working collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, Medical Staff, leadership team, employees, and community stakeholders; • Overseeing financial performance, budgeting, operational planning, and organizational sustainability; • Supporting physician engagement, recruitment, retention, and collaborative provider relationships; • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, Medical Staff Bylaws, and Hospital policies; • Maintaining strong communication with the Board regarding operational, financial, regulatory, personnel, and patient care matters; and • Promoting positive employee relations, organizational culture, and community confidence in the Hospital. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, nursing, or a related field required; • Minimum of five (5) years of senior healthcare leadership experience required; • Demonstrated experience in hospital operations, financial oversight, strategic planning, physician relations, and organizational leadership; • Experience working with governing boards and overseeing compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. Preferred Qualifications • Rural healthcare leadership experience strongly preferred; • Experience working with governing boards and physician leadership; • Demonstrated experience in hospital operations, financial oversight, quality improvement, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance; • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Additional Requirement • The successful candidate will be required to permanently relocate to Sweetwater County, Wyoming, and maintain an active presence within the Hospital and community.
