Summer Investment Banking / M&A Internship (12 Weeks) Location: Remote / Hybrid (Dallas, TX preferred) Duration: 12 Weeks | Summer 2026 Compensation: Paid Internship (competitive; based on experience) About the firm: Bank is a lower-middle-market M&A advisory and investment banking firm focused on helping founder-owned businesses maximize value through strategic exits, capital raises, and financial advisory services. The firm specializes in optimizing EBITDA, driving competitive auction processes, and negotiating favorable deal terms for business owners across healthcare, telecom, technology, B2B services, consumer products, and other industries with more than 50 closed deals and over $700M in transaction value. Internship Overview EGIS Careers is seeking highly motivated, analytical, and entrepreneurial students on behalf of the bank for a 12-week Summer Internship program. This internship offers direct exposure to live M&A transactions, private equity processes, financial analysis, investor outreach, and strategic advisory work. Interns will work closely with senior leadership and transaction teams supporting active engagements for founder-owned businesses. What You’ll Do • Conduct industry, company, and market research across multiple sectors • Assist with financial analysis, valuation modeling, and transaction materials • Support preparation of pitch decks, CIMs (Confidential Information Memorandums), and investor presentations • Analyze financial statements and identify EBITDA optimization opportunities • Participate in buyer/investor research and capital markets outreach initiatives • Assist with due diligence and quality of earnings preparation • Help manage CRM data, buyer lists, and transaction tracking processes • Collaborate with deal teams on active M&A and capital raise engagements What We’re Looking For • Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field • Strong academic performance with demonstrated analytical ability with a minimum of 3.5 GPA • Ideal candidate has deal experience within sell-side M&A • Interest in investment banking, private equity, M&A, or corporate finance • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment • High attention to detail and strong work ethic • Self-starter mentality with an entrepreneurial mindset Preferred Qualifications • Previous internship experience in finance, consulting, accounting, or corporate strategy • Investment Banking Internship experience is a plus and those candidates will be prioritized • Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation methodologies • Experience using CRM or financial databases is a plus • Interest in lower-middle-market businesses and entrepreneurship What Interns Will Gain • Hands-on exposure to real-world M&A transactions • Mentorship from experienced investment banking and private equity professionals • Direct experience working on live deals and strategic advisory projects • Development of technical finance and valuation skills • Exposure to investor communications and transaction negotiations • Networking opportunities with founders, investors, and senior executives • A strong foundation for careers in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate finance
