Summary The key role of the international marketing manager is to meet/exceed client goals for generating international attendance, identify and capitalize on opportunities with existing clients to generate new growth through our international marketing services, and to support new business development from prospective clients. This position will support our Design Delivery team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be located in the following locations: • Washington, DC • Alexandria, VA Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Perform international market research and analysis to evaluate potential growth opportunities for event clients, inform international campaign strategies, and develop tactical plans. • Manage and execute defined international scopes of work for assigned clients. • Identify, vet and broker international partnerships on behalf of clients with industry counterparts in overseas markets. • Serve as our client’s international liaison and relationship manager maintaining strong relationships with international media partners, delegations, and other organizations; ensuring that all communications appropriately represent the client. • Serve as agency liaison and project manager with service providers supporting translation/transcreation of client assets. • Collaborate with colleagues on the accounts, content and digital teams as needed to ensure that international tasks are completed correctly and on deadline. • Monitor, track and report the performance of assigned international campaigns and suggest adjustments to international plan to optimize outcomes, if needed. • Monitor assigned scopes of work to ensure they are on target and delivered within budget, identifying ways to optimize efficiencies. • Support development of new international marketing products and services. • Serve as a contributor to agency marketing content for internal and external audiences. • Participate in strategic marketing meetings and training sessions. • Fulfilling internal and external reporting requirements. • Performs other related duties as assigned in support of team and organizational objectives. Education & Experience • 3 - 5 years of international marketing experience. • Experience working with cross-cultural stakeholders or organizations. • Bi- or multi-lingual; Spanish fluency, preferred. • Agency and/or event marketing experience a plus. • Degree in international business, international relations, or cross-cultural communications a plus. • Strong organizational skills and experience “managing up”. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • A solid and broad foundation in marketing. • Creative thinking and independent problem solving. • Calmness under pressure and ability to deliver to tight deadlines. • Customer/client focus. • Solution-oriented. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Collaborative. • Positive attitude. • Strong organizational skills. • Time management. • Focus on quality assurance and accuracy.
