Senior Software Engineer

<p>Peloton Interactive, Inc. seeks Senior Software Engineer in New York City, NY</p> <p><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Job Duties</span>: Cultivate a deep understanding of Peloton’s ecommerce platform while working on a&nbsp;cross-functional agile team, collaborating closely with other engineers and product managers to&nbsp;build, integrate, and evolve key components. Collaborate with Product Management and&nbsp;Development teams to gather and refine requirements and translate them into scalable&nbsp;technical solutions. Define and prioritize the technical roadmap, aligning it with business goals&nbsp;and strategic objectives. Monitor progress and adjust plans to address any roadblocks or&nbsp;changes in priorities. Conduct technical design reviews to ensure solutions are scalable,&nbsp;maintainable, and performant. Lead and participate in code reviews and enforce coding&nbsp;standards and best practices. Design, implement, and optimize frontend and platform<br>components to meet strict performance, availability, and scalability requirements for high-traffic&nbsp;ecommerce pages. Implement frontend performance optimization strategies (including bundle-size reduction, caching strategies, and Core Web Vitals improvements) and collaborate with&nbsp;backend and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient delivery. Build and maintain tooling and&nbsp;automation to enable rapid creation of content-driven landing pages and dynamic experiences&nbsp;that support organic traffic and SEO initiatives. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD&nbsp;pipelines and automated deployment workflows. Implement containerization and orchestration&nbsp;practices to support reliable deployments and rollbacks. Implement and maintain observability,&nbsp;monitoring, logging and alerting systems to ensure operational visibility and uptime. Mentor and&nbsp;onboard new engineers, lead technical training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities, and&nbsp;participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies. Collect and analyze&nbsp;data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the ecommerce&nbsp;platform. Ensure that new features integrate seamlessly with existing systems and comply with&nbsp;security and performance standards. Create and maintain sandbox or staging environments for&nbsp;testing and integration of microservices and frontend modules. Telecommuting is an option.</p> <p><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Minimum Requirements</span>: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science,&nbsp;Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative&nbsp;discipline, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in an occupation in a related&nbsp;field. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.</p> <p><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Special Skill Requirements:</span><br>1. At least four (4) years of experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript developing&nbsp;production web applications, including state management and performance optimization.<br>2. At least three (3) years of experience with React.js, including at least one (1) year of&nbsp;experience with Next.js, using server-side rendering (SSR) and/or static site generation (SSG)&nbsp;in production environments.<br>3. At least two (2) years of experience in frontend performance optimization, including&nbsp;bundle-size reduction, caching strategies, and improving Core Web Vitals such as First&nbsp;Contentful Paint (FCP), Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), and Time to Interactive (TTI).<br>4. At least two (2) years of experience implementing modular or microfrontend-based&nbsp;frontend architectures integrated with backend services.</p> <p>5. At least two (2) years of experience designing, implementing, or maintaining CI/CD&nbsp;pipelines and deployment automation, including tools such as GitHub Actions or comparable&nbsp;technologies.<br>6. At least two (2) years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies,&nbsp;including Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with deployment orchestration tools such as&nbsp;Argo CD or similar platforms.<br>7. At least two (2) years of experience implementing or supporting monitoring, logging, and&nbsp;alerting systems (e.g., Datadog or comparable platforms) to support application reliability and&nbsp;uptime.<br>8. At least two (2) years of experience integrating or developing with Headless CMS&nbsp;platforms and building content-driven tooling to support dynamic landing pages or similar&nbsp;content experiences.<br>9.
