About the Opportunity: The Senior Software Engineer, Data Authoring Platform is responsible for developing and enhancing infrastructure that transforms raw data into reliable, decision-grade insights. This role supports thousands of internal users in building and consuming high-quality data models, pipelines, and metrics that inform critical business decisions across various departments. The position enables product teams to innovate and optimize customer experiences by providing accessible and trustworthy data tool s .3. Responsibilit ie s:Build and enhance the query rewriting se rvice.Research semantic layer techniques and database engine features to prioritize platform develo pment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility and i mpact.Participate in all software development phases including architecture, implementation, testing, and on-call su ppo rt.4. Requi reme nts:5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with production-qu alitycode.Proficiency in at least one modern general programming language.Experience at the intersection of data engineering and software en gineering.Familiarity with data platforms utilizing multiple abstraction or semant ic layers.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and API design patterns.Experience collaborating across engineering teams on complex i nterfaces.Strong communication skills and leadership in cross-team projects.Bonus: Experience authoring DSLs or APIs for data transformation (e.g., dbt, Airflow Providers, custom c ompilers).Bonus: Experience with data warehouse tec hnolo gies.5.
