Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Product Owner to join their U.S. team in Warrenton, Virginia. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role offers a strategic opportunity to contribute to the rapidly growing counter‑UAS industry. The Product Owner will play a pivotal role in driving product development and delivery, collaborating with stakeholders across the U.S. and Australia to align products and features with the strategic vision and customer needs. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage diverse business areas. About Our Client Our client is at the forefront of cutting‑edge technology, tackling some of the world’s most challenging technical problems in Electronic Warfare, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, RF sensing, and Sensor Fusion. Our client’s solutions are used globally by military, government agencies, airports, critical infrastructure, and law enforcement. As part of an agile and well‑funded organization, you’ll join a dynamic, cross‑functional team in a flat organizational structure that values creativity and initiative. Responsibilities • Collaborate with the client's US CEO, Director of Engineering, and other team members to understand strategic objectives and translate them into actionable tasks for the Australian‑based engineering teams. • Develop in‑depth knowledge of our client’s products and counter‑UAS industry practices. • Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely product and feature development. • Represent U.S. strategic interests in daily interactions with Australian engineering teams. • Maintain effective communication with the Australian team through email, video calls, and meetings. • Lead decision‑making processes related to product development, documentation, and feature delivery to align with U.S. strategy. Must Have’s • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • 3 to 6 years of professional experience in an engineering or technical role. • At least 3 years of experience in a customer‑facing technical role. • Strong knowledge of RF wireless communications; experience in signals intelligence, electronic warfare, or counter‑UAS techniques is a plus. • Excellent communication skills, with the flexibility to adjust work hours for collaboration with Australia‑based colleagues. • Strong organizational skills to manage complex stakeholder inputs into comprehensive product and feature delivery. • Familiarity with networking and Linux architectures is advantageous. • Previous experience in the Defense industry is highly desirable. • Experience working in a start‑up or scale‑up environment is a plus.
