Description

Overview A dynamic professional services team is seeking an experienced Tax Accounting Manager to lead complex engagements, manage staff, and provide strategic guidance to clients. This role offers the chance to grow professionally while working in a collaborative, flexible environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead all phases of tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and research • Prepare and review Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate tax returns • Provide actionable guidance based on current tax laws, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific considerations • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including performance evaluations and professional development • Oversee complex accounting and tax projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery • Review engagement work papers, resolve issues, and communicate key developments to senior leadership • Plan and coordinate engagement workflows, staffing, and schedules • Identify opportunities for additional client services and internal process improvements Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Required) • CPA designation (Required) • 7+ years of public accounting or professional services experience (Required) • Experience with CCH Axcess, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit QuickBooks (Preferred) • Real Estate or asset-based client experience (Preferred) Skills and Attributes • Strong leadership and team management skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities • Proactive, client-focused, and solutions-oriented Role Details • Full-time, hybrid position aligned to Eastern Time • Based in New York, NY; must reliably commute or plan to relocate • Competitive salary range: $125,000-$160,000 • Benefits: health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer contributions, professional development
