Client Overview:
Our client is a growing company specializing in boys' and girls' apparel with a strong presence in off-price retail channels, including major discount retailers. The business continues to expand year over year and is looking to add a Junior Account Executive/Associate Account Executive to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60k - $105k Annually depending on experience
Position Overview:
This role is flexible on level depending on the candidate. The ideal candidate will closely support the Vice President of Sales operationally while developing into a client-facing sales role over time. Flexibility in experience level is welcomed, with compensation adjusted accordingly.
Responsibilities of the Junior Account Executive/Associate Account Executive:
• Attend all meetings with the Vice President of Sales. Run meetings independently when needed, though the VP will likely still attend most.
• Take detailed notes and maintain organization across accounts and orders.
• Build and maintain spreadsheets tracking selections, units, and overall sales progress.
• Handle backend operational tasks related to the sales process.
• Proactively understand the business to keep processes moving efficiently, beyond simple data entry.
Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Account Executive/Associate Account Executive:
• Junior salesperson with clear growth potential.
• Comfortable working in a showroom environment and eventually engaging buyers independently.
• Strong personality capable of managing interactions with multiple stakeholders.
• Open to backgrounds in menswear, womenswear, or children’s apparel, with a preference for those interested in children’s wear.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Account Executive/Associate Account Executive:
• Experience supporting senior sales leadership or working closely with executive-level sales staff.
• Ability to lead meetings and take on more client-facing responsibilities as experience grows.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
