Software Engineer (L3) Data Substrate

About the Opportunity: The Software Engineer (L3) Data Substrate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the Data Platform infrastructure to support a broad range of data-driven initiatives. This role contributes directly to enabling scalable and reliable data ingestion, processing, and analysis, facilitating impactful business decisions across the organization. 3. Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and scalable frameworks for data ingestion, processing, and analysis. • Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Architect and implement data solutions using technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Hive, Hudi, Presto, Airflow, and AWS services including Lake Formation, Glue, and Athena. • Develop frameworks to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle. • Stay updated with emerging big data technologies and best practices. • Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning within the team. 4. Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development or related fields. • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala. • Experience building frameworks with big data technologies like Spark, Kafka, Hive, and distributed systems. • Experience working with AWS technologies at scale. • Strong understanding of software engineering principles including OOP, functional programming, design patterns, and code quality. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package: • Pay range varies by location, with estimates from $138,700 to $203,900 depending on the candidate’s location within the United States. • Eligibility to participate in the organization’s equity and corporate bonus plans. 6.
