Description
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer - Financial Transactions & Automation to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Telecommunications & Hardware environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $184,000 – $287,500 annually
Responsibilities
Architect event-driven pipelines (Kafka) and develop data models ensuring transactional integrity (ACID)
Automate scalable ETL processes and refine data architectures for quality and security
Collaborate to codify business processes into self-measuring systems that ensure financial operational reliability
Debug complex challenges to maintain integrity of financial operations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience); Master's preferred
5+ years of industry experience delivering scalable financial services
Expertise in building scalable REST APIs backed by PostgreSQL
Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
Deep understanding of high-scale distributed systems, Linux, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) using container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
