AI Agent Engineer - US Remote

For our client, we are seeking a AI Agent Engineer - US Remote to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $200,000 – $275,000 annually Responsibilities Architect and implement a robust agentic framework for tool use, context retrieval, memory, and planning Build modular agents to automate investigative tasks and enhance analyst decision-making Extend and scale LLM infrastructure, including prompt engineering and evaluation loops Design safe and auditable agent behaviors for high-sensitivity environments Evaluate system performance across various metrics and iterate based on feedback Foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, and ethical deployment of AI Qualifications Strong engineering background with deep experience in backend or systems work (Python preferred) Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agents, and tooling frameworks (LangChain, semantic caches, vector DBs, etc.) Comfort working with agentic pipelines and optimizing information flow into AI systems Thoughtful approach to system design, prioritizing safety, scalability, and explainability High product empathy to ensure agents effectively serve real users (analysts) Bias toward experimentation and iteration, motivated to learn and innovate Previous experience with knowledge graphs, task orchestration, or AI safety a plus Benefits Collaborative and inclusive team culture that values communication and teamwork Rapid issue resolution process, creating a dynamic and responsive work environment Efficient knowledge transfer through real-time documentation and updates Strong focus on mentorship and professional development within the engineering team Opportunities to work on impactful projects that promote career growth Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
