Retail Sales Manager
Job Summary of Retail Sales Manager:
This role is responsible for leading overall store performance by delivering a consistently high standard of customer experience aligned with brand values and service expectations. The position drives sales growth, operational excellence, team development, and profitability through effective leadership, planning, and execution.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Retail Sales Manager:
• Secure that the store maintains or exceeds sales, KPI, and profitability objectives by emphasizing strong customer service and operational success
• Supervise the enlistment, assimilation, education, enhancement, and succession mapping for top-level team structures
• Achieve a favorable balance between financial targets and customer service standards by proficiently overseeing payroll budgets and service-oriented schedules
• Guarantee that all employee training programs and talent management processes are completed within the specified timeframe
• Administer performance coaching, recognition deliberations, and annual talent assessments
• Organize programs dedicated to educating on loss prevention, raising awareness, and reducing shrinkage
• Organize inventory management procedures, which incorporate receiving items, transferring stock, controlling losses, and conducting physical inventory verifications
• Aid in executing and promoting in-store marketing initiatives, promotions, and events
• Monitor and enforce compliance with access controls and operational standards at the point of sale
• Guarantee the ongoing adherence to visual merchandising and store presentation standards
• Foster a secure, healthy, and compliant work and shopping atmosphere by promptly reporting maintenance needs
• Participate in out-of-office meetings, educational seminars, and the opening or closing of new stores as directed
• Be adaptable to working during weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
Qualifications and Experience of Retail Sales Manager:
• It is preferred that candidates have accumulated two to four years of management experience in a customer service focused retail environment, with a preference for those with backgrounds in the apparel or footwear industry
• Demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals and effectively managing intricate operational challenges
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing, guiding, and empowering high-performing teams
• Adept communication and presentation skills are assets in professional and personal settings
• Basic knowledge of operating MS Office software
• Proficiency to endure extended periods of standing and routinely lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds
